Throughout my High School Years I was a very quite and shy girl who lacked self confidence and always second guessed myself. Apex has given me such a boost of confidence and helped improve my public speaking skills and now I feel so much better interacting with others! -Kaylin Studer |
It has been one of the best decisions of my life to attend Apex Academy. I've met some amazing people like my instructors. I really love that they are always there when and if I needed help. Everyone there has taught me so much and I am very grateful to have an amazing education because it really does matter! |
I started school at Apex in September of 2014. When I graduated high School in 2013 I did not know what I wanted to do. I tried College for about one month when I realized it was not for me. Before I left college, I needed a plan on where to go next. I decided to call Apex and take a tour. The minute we met Kathy and saw the school I knew I wanted to go there. I registered for the next class and before I knew it I was on my journey. It was full of speed bumps, steep hills and twisted turns. I learned far more then a textbook could teach you about hair. I learned what hard work, perseverance and dedication meant. There were many times when my anxiety of trying new things made me want to give up. The instructors at Apex helped guide me though those times with so much compassion and understanding. Because of that I never let me anxiety win! October 1st, 2015 I clocked 1500 hours! It seemed surreal the journey was over, but I knew I had what I needed to take my state Board and pass with confidence. On November 10, 2015 I did just that, I passed State Board! My journey at Apex may have been one of the hardest most rewarding things I have done in life. I encourage anyone who has a desire to take the journey. Along the way, you may just learn more about yourself like I did!

A wife and mother, still young (yet not so young to some) changed her path. Left her career that she had known and realized a passion that was yet to transpire into something great. This is my story...I knew what I loved to do (hair) I just didn’t know how I was going to achieve it! Then on the radio came an advertisement….”Apex Academy, now accepts financial aid”. This was the make it or break it for this passion of mine. And with support from my loved ones. I jumped in! The goal? To continue raising our two children, be proficient in the roles of our other two businesses, and finally...start doing what I love. Hair. What a good blend we were, Apex and I. The schedule was right for me and my family with kids and other responsibilities. The high expectations were clear and well supported by the instructors. They set the standards and expected me to uphold my end of the bargain, which I respect. The challenges were exposed and the achievements were glorified. I now have began my journey on the entrepreneurship train and it is so good. The struggles are real. But it can be done.
Thank You Apex, for believing in me!
I was super uncomfortable with myself growing up. Modifications I could make to make myself feel like who I was on the inside always made me happier than anything else. I always knew I wanted to be apart of the beauty world, the beauty world literally saved my sanity as a young High Schooler! My parents didn’t want me to be a Professional Cosmetologist, so they did not let me go to our Career School. I am so happy for that though, because I feel like the education I got through Apex was so much more in depth and that is so important!! My time at Apex was hard. I had to move out and live on my own at 18, but Cosmetology was my outlet to happiness! Even on my toughest days I never ever regretted my choice to go to school. The woman at Apex were very understanding on my bad days and amazing on my good days! I put my trust into what I love and I had good support and education at school and I had never been happier. I am currently Booth Renting! As a Booth Renter I make my own schedule, pick my own products, and I am my own boss! I make people love them self’s more, make people happy when they look in the mirror, make people happy. I can’t think of anything better. I can’t imagine doing anything else. I let out my creative outlet and get to help me feel love! I would not change a thing! |
Apex helped me by giving me a ton of experience in everyday situations that I don’t feel like you typically get in hair school. Their reputation gives them a lot credibility in the community, meaning you will be busy and get a lot of different scenarios that will help you in your career! I probably would have never applied at Kenneth’s if my instructors at Apex didn’t encourage me to and I am so happy that they did! They believe in you and want you to do great things, and you will! - Amanda Hook
